Our mission is to empower youth and families to reach their full potential through community engaged and trauma informed education, social and behavioral health services.

NYJI was created to join existing efforts in Douglas County to strengthen the continuum of services and alternatives for youth involved in the juvenile justice system. These collective efforts are designed to keep Omaha youth in their community to receive treatment and education while preventing them from experiencing disruptions in family relationships, education, and local support networks which are essential to their future success.

During challenging times, youth and families deserve access to a full continuum of high-quality prevention, intervention, and treatment services within their community. NYJI is proud to join the work already underway in making this vision a reality in our community.
